DnB without stepping on anyones toes(battletech).I was outta of the scene from 00-03 serving our country and now after witnessing the capabilties(let alone great talent) of our great city,we want to contribute.With the support of everyone we can make Big D's concrete jungle bigger and stronger!Do you want a revolution!?!Well here's the kicker Texans!

I will have to say that i back this up having my own toes steeped on before and I know how it feels!

Battletech does have the long-term hold on tuesdays. This purist DnB night has had the true heads coming for almost a decade. It sucks when newer people come in and start a night without first looking around to see where you stand on starting a night. Remember Guys, Phooka, as well as other veteran dj's have been DJing in this city for a long, long time so Respect the guys who have started and maintained this DnB scene. The right thing to have done would have first asked battletech for their thoughts. This is how people get upset and the scene gets divided by people only looking at things from their point of view. We all want the same thing, for there to be a DnB scene in dallas, so why take away from an already lengthy well maintained dnb residency and split the crowd. By no means am i hating on you guys, it's great to have new talent! Just don't forget to give respect where respect is due.

You guys both have valid points, but what we all need to keep in mind is that we are all on the same team. sure we all play different styles, but its all the same music. We should feel priviledged that we get to choose what club to go to on any particular night to hear dnb. What other town close to us has that same luxory? We should be a bit more accepting to the fact that it might be a good thing that our scene is healthy enough to have these weeklies continnue instead of shooting them down before they have a chance.

I can understand why some could get upset over it, but its not the end of the world, if anything it should make those of us that do have a weekly gig work even harder now that there are other options for dnb listeners.

I mean if we were to tell people not to have their gig the same night as ours, then what night are they supposed to even try? There is a dnb weekly on just about every night during the week, which would mean they are supposed to deny any gig that comes up for them? No way, if they dont do it, someone else definetly will, without second thought.

Is adrian (noso) supposed to be pissed that there is another dnb night on fridays when he has been doing kenchi on fridays for the past few weeks? Nope, i doubt he minds one bit.

I for one encourage people to check out everything that is going on to develop their own taste of venues, music styles, etc. I have a weekly, and there is another dnb weekly on the same night, and you bet I tell my friends that ask to check them both out if they are out and about. Both of these monday night gigs have been going on for over a year now, and it doesnt seem like anything is about to stop them from continuing, which proves good things for both weeklies, so I think Minc and their talent deserves a fair shot at an attempt to contribute to dallas dnb.

Someone has to do an event at every club in dallas every night of the week.

I'm all for having more weeklies because that helps increase the fan base which in turn will increase turnouts for major shows on the weekend.

I love battletech, because some of the best times at a weekly I have had were at the Ruby Room which was always packed.
