seen a lot of promoters do a lot of bad crap in the past. these are all screwed up things i have seen done. Remember these and abide by them if you ever want to go big time. The "Promoter" commandments

A real promoter pays the talent and other promoters first.

A real promoter can pack the house with out even having notarized talent perform.

A real promoter never over sales presale tickets or more tickets than the venue can hold. It has a great chance of getting shut down and people will see the greed involved when that happens.

A real promoter never changes the price on you!

A real promoter pays only a street team to do the extensive promotions.

A real promoter does not make the people they put on the guest list to do extensive promotions. they are your "guest". and these are your friends as well. your party is your treat to them. never make them go out of their way if you cannot return back 100% from their time efforts.

A real promoter works harder knowing that there is a 66% percent chance of losing or only evening out. there is only a 33% chance of success.

A real promoter uses leverage with out taking advantage of others especially other peoples time.

A real promoter never tries to steal promoters unless they inform them of the relationship break that it will cause.

A real promoter never steals ideas from other promoters and tries to claim them as his own. If he is big time than surely he is creative enough to come up with ideas by himself

A real promoter never uses other people who bring them up and throw them away.

A real promoter never screws people over because its all about relationship market building.

A real promoter never rips down other competing events when street promoting such as flyer's.

A real promoter will never promotes on competitors grounds with out permission.

A real promoter does not say he still works for an event if he has been fired or let go.

A real promoter never completely relies on others to get the job done, hence the phrase "if you want something done right do it your self"

A real promoter thinks about people before the profits. When you do it this way you will get your profits.

A real promoter always analyzes back on what he could have done better.

A real promoter truly appreciates any free support.

A real promoter works hard with 100% effort.

A real promoter is always coming up with new ideas to improve the system.

A real promoter tells the truth in the beginning.

A real promoter abides by all of these statements.

Revisions to the promoters rules

• Try not to piss everyone off.
• Have the cash to do show.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

2.) Don't treat your friends like customers
3.) Stay focused on your goal and don't let any negativity bring you down.
4.) There will always be losses, get up and keep going.
5.) If you've put all that you can into the show, at least you know that you did your best.
6.) Promotion and Quality should be Synonymous
7.) Make sure your people are having a great time
8.) Even if you lose money, make sure you had a blast
9.) Love what you do, do it for the Music and the people.
10.) Never give a reason for people to disrespect you.
