Dallas Venues?

Yo board,

Gone are the days when we had options like Orchid bar, Pharmacy, Ruby Room/Red Jacket, Crave, Seven, the Village, and Club One. Considering the fact that we now have fewer options than we did 5 years ago, I think it'd be a good idea if our little community brain stormed and came up with some viable options for throwing quality underground music events...

You forgot Afterlife, We have our own sound, Large amounts of stage space, byob available. And connections to get any other amount of sound lights ect needed for your event...

Cirque is working with outside promoters, Plenty of sound, and visuals, not to mention a full color Martin Laser.

2505 is going to be a Friday night option from now on. The first event is this Friday. We will be hosting the event with a rotation of DJ's with different sounds each weekend of the month.

I am interested in collaborating with locals to throw a good party.

I haven't been to Sloppyworld yet but all the rest of them are pretty cool.

i'm not exactly sure what the status w/ deep ellum is right now. but i know some one re-opened Wax. also...

yeah i would second what drex put primarly the expo joints like sloppyworld and add the loft a great joint for shows. the party boys have been tearing it up over there.

Stress Room is quite some distance from Carrollton, it's right down the street from Karma which is in North Dallas.

Ghost Bar pays for their own shows, then hires people to promote them. I don't think they would be closed to outside promoters though if you could bring them a solid night, but money would be an issue to be negotiated since it has a corporate structure.

Eden most isn't open to outside promoters to my knowledge, they do the same thing and MJ is their promoter for Saturdays.

Word on 2505 is this, I'm getting ready to announce this later tonight. We (Elevate) have taken over Friday's there as they wanted a dance night again. We are going to be doing a rotation - 1st week of the month is going to be the Elevate guys with the OHM guys - myself, Jonas, DiCypher, & DiMorphic. 2nd week is going to be Mike Detloff & Kean with London Nights, 3rd week is going to be the Tekspt guys - Locklear, James Warren, & Matias, and the 4th week is still being arranged, but is going to be a house night in which I have asked Eric Schlowinski to put something together for us. So we are going to be pushing all locals, all EDM with a variety through the month. This is a done deal, there is EDM back at 2505 starting this Friday.
