Last week, I laid down a $300 deposit on a venue for a surprise birthday party for Mr. Meadows on this very same Saturday night.

I went in this afternoon, and it seems they double booked on the 26th, and I have been bumped in favor of a party for the construction crew that just built the place.

They did refund MOST of my money temporarily... When I asked about doing the weekend before they told me that they are now having to wait on the city setting a capacity on the place before they can promise dates to anyone.

I feel like beating my head into a wall now, but at least there is a good side in that nobody has to decide between two parties.

The secret is still safe from the one and only person I'm trying to keep it a secret from. The people on here that have his contact infos are not likely to tell him.

And if anyone busts the secret to him, then it becomes a party, as opposed to a "surprise" party........ And THEY would be the one who lacks secret holding ability.

Of course... If you read my previous post... There are snags, anyway...

I'm not really lacking venues, but there are reasons I still have this one at the top of my list.

As far as heading down to Austin...... Its still James' b-day weekend, so what we do is entirely up to him. As of this weekend, he was saying no more campouts this summer. We just did Flipside, Whitney, and La Paz in the matter of a month.

His mind might be changable if someone talks him into it... I don't think I'd be able to, though.

Worldbridge III has just been postponed indefinetly, therefore I will be in TX for the park party on the 13th.

The only thing that really sucks, is I bought a non-refundable airline ticket to get myself out to NC, hopefully I can figure out somewhere else to go within the next year so I don't lose all of that money.

You are very welcome! I enjoyed it a lot.

As for finding something to hit up within a year, I contacted a friend out in San Francisco to see what's going on out there in the next couple months.

I think they do an EarthDance out in Mendocino County in September. I'd love to hit up Norcal again this summer. I just love it out there.
