really been anticipating this one for a long time. i can't wait to see what you ladies are cookin up for the deco.

I'm looking forward to this one. I think I'm going to get some black light ffabric paints and make a new psy shirt. I guess that doesn't have the same nice ring as trance pants but those are hard to top. Hmmm... just made a pun without really thinking about it.

I am personally excited to be a part of this party because we will be showcasing many different types of psytrance and psychedelic music in general throughout the night and morning in order to give people who are new to psychedelic trance gatherings a chance to experience much more than you would see or hear at a typical dark psy gathering. It will also give those of us who are not just specifically into dark psy a place to venture off to when needed!

Creating areas of comfort and allowing people to gather in as many different types of settings is an important part of the communal aspect of psychedelic trance. This is what separates it from most EDM parties, and it is especially important for everyone who attends our gatherings.

The downtempo area will be set up with room for people to hoop, poi, do yoga, get some henna done, chill....and yes EVEN dance!

I would encourage anyone who is able to attend to hop in the car, take a chance, step outside the box...
and of course open your mind to what may lie ahead!

I look forward to seeing this party take off as the texas psy scene continues to grow and come together as a whole and a movement. We are on our way to the mothership!

worldbridge is back on nick. paul and i are working on getting some people together to possibly take off next week. we are willing to run thru dallas to pick up anyone if needed. we will know more as the week progresses, still trying to process that which is decompression!

ErinLee ~ is right on with her post! This event is open to any open minded peace loving individuals ready to come and embrace music & nature! There will be much to see, hear, touch & expierence... so dont deny yourself of this summer expierence, start making plans.. save some $$ and carpool to get there ~ you'll surely make some memories worth coming for!

I would like everyone to know that we will have two altars at this event, one for both stages. I would encourage those attending to bring a candle, or something that you would like to add to the altar that you have put your positive energy into. You truly create your own reality, and this event will be what you make of it. We provide the space & the environment, you provide the energy & the vibe, and we can all create and celebrate.

As Erin Lee was saying......if you are looking for something new, or if yuo want a break from the normalcy of your life then give this a shot. These events aren't just about the music. True psychedelic trance events are about the people, the place, and the experience that is there to be had if you open yourself up to it.

Melvin is playing a mixture of progressive-psy and full-on to start out the evening. From there it will go through many different variations of organic and synthetic psychedelic music. There's distinct differences in the sounds played by Jeff, Marco, Chuck(Facehead), Mark & myself. You'd be surprised as to the versatility and how the artists themselves have evolved. Darkpsy has a really bad name since 98% of it isn't dark at all, just more cerebral than other styles of psychedelic trance. This night will have flow and will have ebbs and tides with energy & tempo. Tempo doesn't dictate energy & vice versa.

The downtempo area is going to be very eclectic. I am actually quite excited about this area because of the artists playing. Each of these djs have a wide array of music when it comes to downbeats. It was really pleasant listening to Nick play sunday night....he has a pretty good feel for the music without having even played it extensively. I expect to hear anything from broken beat influences, to samba influences, to jazz influences.....you name it. The deco for this stage is.....well nevermind, those that come shall see!

Camping might not be necessary if said peoples don't plan on spending the whole night at the venue, or if they plan on spending the whole evening on the dancefloor. This party is going till about ten or eleven in the morning.

I really would like another outdoor/open-air event!
we'll just load up on the essentials & head out...

Singularity3 is Shawn whom you might have met before or at Leaha's benefit. He's a really great person who is very much inline spiritually and has healed himself through psychedelic music. Spyralkyte is from an old Austin crew called Last Laugh who used to throw events many years back.

Check out Chuck's myspace to get a sample of what to expect from him. He has a really nice progression through his set, and doesn't like to label any of his music other than calling it psychedelic. As for the rest of us, well we have all grown in our directions and none of us like the label of darkpsy, but semantically it gives those in the "know" an idea as to what they might hear.
