well... looking at Sean's schedule... it would have to be Sat.-Sun. trip. He now works the 2nd shift...so he wouldn't get off till 10/11 Fri. But, we're still trying to work on some things..... *please universe hear me*

Located in Fayette County, between Smithville and Flatonia. About 1/3 of the way onto the land, there is a creek that completely crosses the property. A low-water bridge is in place for crossing that creek. Along the creek bed is a beautiful wooded area, with lots of old oak and elm trees. The main camping area is open and flat, but currently overgrown with mesquite trees. There is a line of trees that completely surrounds the property, providing privacy and wind and noise barriers. Featuring indoor/outdoor showers, power, etc.

Only a week left now. Deco is being made as I type this and should be the best Texas has seen to date. Psylotus is an amazing deco artist and creator.

We have added to the attractions and activities of the festival as well.

ACTIVITIES

Swimming

South Shore Park (directions) on Lake Bastrop is 30 miles from the venue, with swimming, canoeing, fishing, and many other activities. Festival goers are encouraged to go during the day to cool off and relax. There is a $3 per person entrance fee.

Ecology Action
"Ecology Action of Texas was founded in 1970 as an all-volunteer group that sought to promote a variety of environmental issues, most notably recycling. Today our mission is to educate and empower people to create a healthier environment through waste prevention and accessibility to recycling".
EA will be on site with information on recycling in the Austin area: what can be recycled, what facilities accept certain materials, and how you can get involved!

Treasure City Thrift
Treasure City is committed to recycling its waste and reuse items that cannot be resold. Many things destined for the landfill still have a life worth living and every item at Treasure City is either donated or reclaimed from the waste stream. We even take items that other thrift stores refuse to touch. Croquet

A croquet tournament will be held during the day. USCA 9-wicket rules will be observed.


We will be posting up timeslots for both stages/ both days on Tuesday or Wednesday, we've got them all worked out, but a little suspense is always fun.

THIS IS A LEAVE NO TRACE EVENT.........

Meaing if you bring it with you take it back out with you when you leave. Make sure you bring a trash bag to fill up! The venue owners are open minded enough and trust us enough to use and respect their land. Please respect it as if it were your own. Here are some tips on "leave no trace"




Leave No Trace
Be prepared to pack out everything that you pack in. Recycling will be provided, however, please try to discard unnecessary trash before hand.

Some tips for successful Leave No Trace camping:

* Bring less stuff! Remove excess packaging before you leave home.
* Bring refillable water bottles.
* Don't let anything hit the ground. Bring trash bags and clean up as you go.
* Smokers: don't throw cigarette butts on the ground. Keep a small plastic bag with you to store your butts.
