Mary is the only dj on this flyer that I would want to see, but I half expect it will to get shut down early judging by the antics of the oh-so-professional people in charge of this crew. I don't see how you can book a bunch of no name female djs and then try to tell us someone requested them again for how many times in a row are you bringing the same no name people? I made the mistake of going to Kandy Krush and left in the middle of Kaydence's set because I was bored and know more talented djs in Tulsa OK who don't get to play even a weekly here in Dallas. As a woman and promoter, I find this to be a sad attempt at a massive and more the exact image of explotation.

If you wanna see the real thing buy your tickets to DIVAS coming to Austin on Sept 5th and tickets are going on sale Sunday July 12 for only 20.00 for a short time. The top female talent in the world together for 1 night in the cool and inviting Travis County Expo Center. Best of luck to you guys however, I'm sure you will do fine. Men have been using the sex appeal of women for eons and banking off it so no need to buck the system now, huh? Too bad it's the same weekend of Lizard Lounge's MC Flipside show back to back with DJ Swamp and Freaky Flow at Afterlife on that Friday and the same night as TOOL at Nokia Theatre and so many other awesome things happening in Dallas that weekend...but I think I'm gonna go to Tulsa's DFEST to see BASSNECTAR instead because that's gonna be an awesome show!!!

I personally like it when promoters try out new talent. Keeps things fresh and inviting! Not everyone wants the same tired djs that roll through here every 6 months. No matter how talented they are. Lets keep it positive even if you dont like it. We are suppose to be a community here but all the hate seems to bring the scene down as a whole.

man i dont think i have ever seen you write a negative post... ur one bad ass mo fo! Thats what it's all about, peace, love and unity..... Remember James Zabiela was a bedroom dj if you put his name on a flyer for a massive as a headliner when he was a bedroom dj people would be like "who the fuck is this" cause he's never played out at that time. But then you would of seen him and been like "holy mother of god!!!!" There's hidden djs all over the world who can rock the sox off of people. All I know is I am playing and its at a cool lookin venue with some close friends playing with me and I cant wait. This month is poppin fun

Man you dudes just don't get it. I wish you luck with what you're trying to do, I just don't happen to agree with it. Obviously you kiddos think you know what you're doing, so roll with it. I find it kinda funny that you are acting like wounded children because I stated my opinion which unfortunately differs from yours. Are you really so naive that you don't realize that I know Jimmy is on this flyer, because I work with him and Brian quite closely. If you are so easily upset by a random post from someone you do not know that you have to make up silly comments and assume ridiculous things about that person, then it only shows your youth and inexperience. I've been doing promotions for 5 years and with some of the most notorious characters in Oklahoma and I tell ya if you cannot take some constructive criticism at this level then you won't make it very far. Again, you missed the point and that's ok, it's probably why you don't see the bigger picture in context. I agree seeing fresh talent is an admirable thing as long as it's kept fresh not the same djs who were not that good the 1st time being brought back within a month or two. I would love to see some of the other regional talent that is out there be able to play a party or two around here, but that won't happen unless something completely different comes to town (which it may even be on it's way...you never know) so never fear the voice of a critic nor fear to be critical yourself of every endeavor you undertake. Sorry to have thrown you all into a tizzy for being an educated woman in her 30's that has higher ideals than you can possibly understand. Seriously, have fun and good luck, the end.

Hi, most of us are 30 as well. I didn't even address your rant cuz it's just an opinion and everybody has them. I see what you mean, but at the same time, IMO parties are not always about a headliner. I see why people book major headliners, it's cuz they want to pull a crowd. When I was a youngster and going to parties, as long as the music was good I didn't give two fucks who was standing behind the decks PLAYING RECORDS.

My whole point is, you come into their thread and put them down and then tell everybody to come to your party. Seems a little lame, but whatever, it's your life. I am not pissed or even give a fuck enough to even be pissed. I just wanted you to know that's not very cool. Have a good day Butterfly!

Glad to see the 30-somethings got part of the picture, because indeed when you've partied this long you learn a lot about the grand scheme of things. I am a promoter of all things good which is why I mentioned all the awesome events happening in the region on the night before or same night of this event or even upcoming events in the area. I claim no part of any of these events other than being someone who lets people know what is really going on everywhere so they can make an informed decision on the possibilities. That's the epitome of diplomacy and professionalism if you really consider it, because I am not saying to not do this or go to that at all I am simply saying in my opinion there are tons of more positive things going on in this state and the next. This is again my humble opinion, which is subjective and completely my own. If you took it wrong and found it offensive or "uncool", so be it. You are just as entitled to your opinion as well. Really folks, how will you ever grow or change and become a better scene without challenging the existing system? I'm not from here, and I'm really glad of that because it gives me a fresh perspective that tends to shake things up. Don't worry though, I'm somebody you'll never have to deal with so it means very little what I have to say.
