 | showing Deep Red tonight at Angelika - italian horror
Come out to the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station this Thurs (Oct 29th) at 9pm for a special 35mm screening of Dario Argento's classic horror/thriller DEEP RED (1975). Tickets are $8 at the door (cash only). Preceded by a selection of vintage 35mm trailers. Brought to you by Dallas Cinemania. [this is one of my favorite horror movies. its creepy, suspenseful & best of all downright weird. made by the amazing Italian director Dario Argento (Demons, Cat o' Nine Tails, Tenebre). Deep Red is also known as Deep Red Hatchet Murders as well as Profondo Rosso. The cinematography & set design are actually kinda beautiful in mostly shades of black/white/grey with punctuations of red. Don't let that fool you, this pic is not for the squeamish. I can't stand most horror movies, but Dario Argento is pretty cool. As long as nobody's trying to use him on a flyer, I can get down with his movies.
