| Just registered to the site...
Thank Jesus I happened to find an electronic music website for Dallas. I moved here little over a week ago from Michigan. How's the scene here? What is the prominent genre? I browsed through the "General" section and it seems that everything is equally represented... but I could be mistaken. Just wanted to introduce myself.  |

Hiya! Welcome to ddm! Apparently the two main genres here are DnB and House Music. I was informed today that trance was dead here... but it's not. Beware of the flaming that will persue also. Surf the calendar, it will help you. The month of June is going to ROCK!!  |

Drumnbass is huge down here, house comes at a close second. Great crews involved in each... You'll like Dallas, we have some of the nicest people involved in this culture. Of course I don't know how people are up in Michigan, but I'm assuming they are bitchy because it gets so cold up there.  Keep an eye on this board pretty regularly so that you don't miss any more shows! Big stuff coming up. I think the full ZenFest lineup will be posted tomorrow. *runs in circles* |

Kill yourself like I should have when I moved down here from Detroit. This scene is weak. Really, there isn't much love for techno or electro down here, but Limelight Saturdays is always cool. Dionysos pushes techno in town as well, but I didn't get to catch his show last weekend. Oh, and Kevin Michael pushes a techno weekly, too. There is lots of house and dnb talent in town and big names come down on a regular basis.
