Hi I am new to Dallas, just moved here from California. I would like to meet new people here to hang out with! I love house music, D&B, and downtempo.

My best friend and I would like to go out this weekend, where are some good places to go party at?

I heard about this place called the Velvet Hooka?
Is it any good?

@ Good-Latimer Expressway

Zubar (its a small bar but with good music on Lower Greenville)

if you want drum'n'bass there are a TON of events here in dallas

you got alot of dark and hard dnb played.. just check out anything that has the name Psyborg attached to it

and you got some Liquid funk events going on now too which i personally love

the events usually happen at Homebar which is a little north of downtown...

and you will find house music at Crave alot... thats a bar in deep ellum

dallas is a very bar-centric town.. bars w/ djs... not many clubs are left.. which is why i mentioned Club Seven...

and of course you might want to give Lizard Lounge a shot.. its right around the corner from Seven...
