| new to Dallas
Mid Aug. I leave Denver moving to Dallas. I am looking for the 411 on the scene, clubs, and other pointers. I currently I cocktail in a house club, what's up with Dallas and how hard is it to get a job in a club? Where are the DnB kids and the junglists at? |

You learn fast. Welcome (part 2). You are going to be asked a lot of questions, but shrug em off. It is a rite of passage. Two words to remember here: IDB and (fill in music genre of choice here) suck. Good luck!!! PS. Check the calendar for the latest on events. Homebar and CRAVE seem to the be the answers to your last question.

Thanks for the responce. So what's the deal then, really? Searching the net I find a ton of info on the live music scene- being bands. What's the status of the scene, where are the heads at, clubs, bars, gone, the possibilities are endless. Where should I look/go in Dallas/Deep Ellum? |

Start in Deep Ellum if you are trying to push your way in hard and fast. Also try your resume in Addison. It is another one of our burgeoning boroughs that drinks it up and lives the high life. Our dance scene is volatile at the moment, but still has growth potential. Either way, the need to drink is great as it ever was here in Dallas. The greater the flux in the economy, the more people drink. True story.
