Roll Call: Skinny Puppy

Here!

Who else. I haven't been to a real concert in ages and they say the doors open up at 8. What's the seating/standing arrangements in this place? I don't care much for whoever is playing before SP. What time should I get there?

brad and i are going. i haven't been to a concert in years, either. i was asking the same question about when they go on earlier tonight. maybe they go on at 9pm? my understanding that the place is general admission. i've never been to the gypsy tea room.

i'm so looking forward to this, although i've heard that their show is pretty different. from what i've been told, they don't have much of a stage show anymore, that it's pretty much all video.

i read in a couple of reviews a few minutes ago that there isn't as much of a stage show, using fewer costumes, props, etc. as well. perhaps the words that i used were strong, as it's pretty clear that they still put on a stage show. i'm sure it's still a wild trip, just not the same as too dark park was. that's the only other time i've caught them.

when i said not much of a stage show, that was in comparison to what they've done in the past, not to other bands. it was less elaborate than what i saw before. there was less costuming and props. he had a lot of energy, but not as much as before. hell, they're in their early forties now, right?

the video background was great... they've had that before but it's always nice to see... i heard stories about him shooting the blood gun at Bush on the screen at other shows.. I heard he did that down in Houston so i was a lil curious why he didnt do it in dallas
i remember seeing him trying to shoot the blood gun at the screen, and it seemed to stop working. it seemed to not have much pressure at all from the get-go. i thought i saw him even try to do it at bush.

i can't remember what song it was when they did this, but they used the strobe a lot, and that gave me the feeling of a battle field, as the lights gave the feeling of firing machine guns. very cool.

i so wish that we could have been closer to the front, but i'm sure i'd have been really uncomfortable anyway. i bet it was packed and hot as hell up there. the heat and cigarette smoke bothered me where i was enough as it was. i saw a couple people get "assisted" out. i don't know if it was heat, or them being too drunk.

i was up front and it wasn't packed in very much.. i had enough room..
i believe you're thinking of epileptic seizures. i know that strobes at certain speeds can trigger a seizure.

hmm, had i known that it wasn't packed shoulder-to-shoulder up front, i'd have pushed my way up there. oh well, it was still great from my vantage point.
