Friday, December 17th @ Crave in Dallas TX!!! Domestic Disturbance & Think Management Present a Celebration Of Nick Kotecki's 23rd & Brian Armstrong's (Pibb) 26th Birthdays... FOCUS (of) BASIC OPERATIONS Renegade/Barcode/TOV|C.I.A/Advanced|Human|Freak|Phuturo|Nemcron| Basic Operations is the group formation of Nathan Hayes (Sirus),and Kevin Jekel (Focus). This dynamic duo of talent has been shaking the rafters of the drum and bass community worldwide for the last year with their onslaught of superb production and their positive personas. After only a few months of producing together Basic Operations was already being sought out by many of the heaviest hitters in drum and bass worldwide and tracks were being signed to many diverse labels such as CIA/Advanced, Human, Renegade, Barcode, TOV and Freak. After almost a year in the studio the name Basic Operations was growing at an enormous rate and with that, Kevin Jekel (Focus) long time friend of Nathan was asked to come on board. Kevin had been a mainstay drum and bass dj veteran in the Carolinas drum and bass scene for almost 8 years and had a keen sense of the music and business dealings with in the drum and bass community. At present time there has been a slew of labels requesting tracks from the trio, including Circle Recordings headed by Kevin Gimble of Circle Management one of the nations most prestigious drum and bass rosters. Phuturo Recordings from San Francisco owned by Juju and a request straight from Americas number one, Dieselboy to do a remix of Karl K, Jae Kennedy & Kaos’s, “Studio 54” for his Human Imprint. Also a recent signing to Renegade Recordings/TOV, a collaborative effort with close friend Wes Dixon called “Cant Take It” to be released on Renegade Rollers EP 4.
