Benjamin Sage, a small town Canadian, has big plans for the advancement of his music on a global scale. Performing as a DJ for the last eight years, and producing tunes for the past four, Ben brings a fresh sound to the drum and bass scene. His style is very diverse, and enjoyable for listeners with a variety of different tastes, fusing rich trancy textures with grimy bass, pouding drums, and beautiful, haunting vocals. His diversity is result of years in music; playing drums in a hardcore punk rock band, <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=guitar" onmouseover="window.status='guitar'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">guitar</a> in a punk band, and production credits for a diverse metal band, as well as djing, and producing his own brand of drum and bass. With releases on Gain Recordings, Camoflage Recordings, and Magic Vinyl, he is an emerging talent, with a bright future.

Ben began his musical career at an early age, playing piano. After quickly switching to Drums and Guitar, he realized that music was his true calling in life, and this resulted in a three year study of music production at a local community college. After learning the ins and outs of <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=studio%20equipment" onmouseover="window.status='studio equipment'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">studio equipment</a>, it was off to the real world for Ben, where he continues to balance a 9-5 job and a music producing and djing career. His musical inspiration comes from virtually every genre of music from Punk, to hip hop, to trance.

Ben's production philosophy is to attempt to keep some aspect of melody in his tunes. "The darkest of dark tunes is just that much better with some element of musicality in it." Ben plans to continue producing tunes that are just slightly different than the "norm" and hopefully carve himself a nice little piece of drum and bass history.
