I'm new.. kinda - Dallas Dance Music - Dallas nightlife, music, tickets, and more

But not really.. Been in dallas for like 2 years now. I registered on here when i first got to dallas and pretty much left it because of being too busy with work/school and being lazy. But anyway, I'm back. So what's up people?

On a side note, I'm seriously considering toying around with a set of turntables. I've always enjoyed watching a DJ in action (seriously, if i have a direct line of sight to the dj, I'm usually watching intently as they mix in the next record) but I have no idea about any of the equipment and such. So, I guess I just need suggestions. What would you guys suggest I look for and start out with for something to play around on? It doesn't need to be anything totally serious, because I simply don't have the time to put into going all out. But, something that's good that a beginner wouldn't mind working on. So, suggestions/recommendations/etc. enlighten me..
