| Monday Night Fights Benefit Show.... taken from myspace.com DFW Hip-Hop Collective Bands Together to Offer Support for Hurricane Katrina Victims
DALLAS, TX USA -- Monday Nite Fights, Dallas’ longest running hip-hop freestyle event, will host a benefit show Monday, September 5 at the Caribbean Bar and Grill located at 3068 Forest Lane in Dallas, TX for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The event, hosted by Headkrack of 97.9 The Beat, will showcase some of the best rap talent the Metroplex has to offer, including artists such as Money Waters, Moon Criket, Brownlion, E-One, and Phyrst. Artists will join together and share their talents in an effort to help collect much-needed items for storm victims. Patrons can either bring items to donate or have their $5 entry fee go towards relief efforts. Donations will be taken to the Dallas chapter of the Salvation Army, who will be focusing on helping storm victims that are seeking refuge here in TX.
"Our hearts and prayers go out to those in need. We are using what we love most, which is music, to try and offer any help we can. The rap community here is made up of a bunch of intelligent, talented, caring people who are always quick to offer support in times like these. Regardless of what anyone may think, hip-hop does have heart and we’re just doing our part," says show host Headkrack.
Doors open at 9pm. E-mail information@mondaynitefights.com for more information. |
