speaking of bars, anybody been to the 'O' bar on Main St, I think its 'O' its underground or so it looked
I know its not DE but I was walking downtown the other day on Main towards the Davis Building
and saw a sign outfront and a thin ass door leading down

whats it like??

It is a nice establishment and is what replaced the old club Umlaut. J Feez does stuff there on Thursdays from time to time and it caters to a money crowd, but leaves space for the common man.

Don't expect to get in if you are dressed ultra thugged-out, but pretend like you are dressing work casual and there should be no worries. The drinks will cost you an arm and three legs, but the eye candy is all free.

There are a lot of trainspotters when it comes to guest DJs and only a small amount of room for actual dancing (if you are inside), but there is more on the outside patio in the back. It is a bi-level club and holds its own swank atmosphere.

Think of it as a mid-level Candle Room.

thursdays are a good crowd. looks and size. music is good too. fri and sat is house. 12" Pimps. Johnny and Kelly. although it is really crowded. no cover unless you don't feel like standing in line, then the door guy is glad to accept donations ot the door guys of america fund.

drinks are pricey unless you get in decent with a bartender there.

its a cool place, with hot women, no smoking indoors, but the patio has ample room to smoke. Crowd is a bit cheesy, and the weekend music is horrible, (house music at its absoulute worse). From what I read in your posts, Holmes, I don't think it would be your type of place, but its nice for dates, and out of town guests that want to go to a nice place.

My friend plays commercial hip hop on Thursdays, and I was doing events down there for a while, but its not the most musical crowd. Now I'll be doing the same shows at Zubar. Ursula 1000, Thunderball/FK5, Boca 45, and hopefully Andy Smith(portishead dj), will be making the rounds at Zu.

And this is one reason I don't really support that place... That, and the fact that I agree with Feezy... HORRIBLE house music. I do what I do for the music and for everyone to enjoy it and have a good time... not just the pretty and/or rich people. Fuck that door guy.
