BT BRINGS THIS BINARY UNIVERSE TO THE INWOOD CINEMA Wednesday, August 30: screenings 7:30, 9:30pm Keyboard Magazine says In a hundred years, [This Binary Universe] could well be studied as the first major work of the new millennium (DALLAS, TX) Musician/producer/composer BT brings a special multimedia show to Dallas Inwood Cinema (5458 W. Lovers Lane, 214-764-9106) on Wednesday, August 30, with screenings at 7:30 and 9:30pm. Celebrating the August 29 release of his technologically groundbreaking CD/DVD This Binary Universe from DTS Entertainment, BT will be on hand to present the project and answer questions from the audience. Tickets are $20 and include the screening, a copy of the album and an invitation to a cocktail reception with BT. This Binary Universe is a two-disc set that combines seven unique tracks composed in 5.1-channel surround sound fused with stunning animations by todays leading computer artists and animators. One can log onto http://www.btmusic.com or http://www.btnetwork.org for more information. Stephen Fortner, Technical Editor at Keyboard Magazine, has called This Binary Universe fine art that works on many levels, mind-bendingly deep but a pleasure to kick back and just listen to. In a hundred years, it could well be studied as the first major electronic work of the new millennium. Its that good. This Binary Universe unifies the two genres for which BT is most well known: electronic music and film scoring. Varying from lo-fi classical pieces with jazz chord structures to glitch and IDM-influenced micro-rhythmic, introspective, electronic tone poems, BT utilizes hand-designed digital instruments alongside a broad range of analog musical instruments to create a work that defies classification. Additionally, all of the animations have been created in high definition, allowing the album to be shown in cinemas in full resolution with a 5.1-channel soundtrack, as well as providing the option to utilize the content in the next generation high definition optical disc formats, Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. Recognized as the pioneer of the trance music genre, BT has evolved into one of the most visionary artists and producers for a multitude of musical styles. Whether composing intricate scores with 80-piece orchestras for blockbuster films such as The Fast And The Furious, Stealth, and the Oscar-winner Monster, writing and producing for Sting, David Bowie or Peter Gabriel, or remixing evocative epics for Sarah McLachlan, Madonna or Seal, BT crafts classically-influenced, electronic overtures ringing with dense textures. Consistently balancing creative and memorable songwriting with sonic innovation and hand-designed technologies and software tools, BT created the epic albums IMA, ESCM, Movement In Still Life and Emotional Technology, which give testament to his innovation. http://www.bt-network.org/tbu_header.jpg

I don't care for the inwood, I think it needs to be renovated. besides that, 20 bucks is a lot of money. If someone else paid my way, I'd go. but I can't see myself paying that much, for that theatre, and at this time. I'm saving for a trip...sort of saving.

Listen who's talking about represntin' - you bailed on the last meet-up woman! I'll be there...don't know if I'll have dough to drink with - but I'll pay to see something that will (hopefully) stimulate the old brain. If anyone wants to buy this lady one of the best lounge martinis in town, feel free
