I second that notion. Although, only EDC I've ever seen was in 2001 in Austin. It would be nice to go back and see how its grown. But who knows, maybe Future Fest will grow to that size as well.

Insomniac is pleased to announce an electrifying addition to Friday at EDC! Sound Tribe Sector 9 is our newest addition to EDC’s lineup and their live bumps are sure to please. They’ll be jamming their eclectic mix of live instrumentation and laptop funk along with a host of fresh talent, all recently added to Friday’s festivities on the circuitGrounds stage. Join us in front of the bass bins on this tree-lined virgin spot, never before used at an Insomniac event, and peep the funky jams of Sound Tribe Sector 9.

Fatboy Skips But EDC Doesn’t Skip A Groove!

Insomniac is disappointed by recent news that we have received. Fatboy Slim has decided to withdraw from this year’s festival citing “unavoidable family commitments” as the reason for the cancellation. But never fear! The Insomniac team has confirmed an amazing act for Saturday night. Groove Armada will now be DJing the kineticField on the floor of the Coliseum! We couldn't be more excited about adding the London big beat legends and are really looking forward to them rocking the main stage.

In addition, Insomniac will be announcing more talent on several stages as well as an additional area on Friday. The circuitGrounds stage, originally booked only for Saturday’s show, will now be in full effect on Friday night!


Again, we apologize for the disappointing news but rest assured we will not sleep until more slamming talent is locked down. Check back for news as it becomes available. Thank you for your understanding!

We’re happy to announce that the website for Electric Daisy Carnival 2009 is now live! For the first time ever we will have two full days and nights of beats, freaks, fun and festivities as Insomniac transforms the LA Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Park into a carnival for the eyes and ears.


We wanted to get the site up before tickets were made available, so please bear with us as we update it over the following few days. There’s information that is still on the way, including more artist info and links, details about art installations and sculpture, as well as more travel information and general event news. We’ve been working nonstop to bring you a special two-day event and this site is the official source for everything you need to know about this year’s festival. Please use it to explore the lineups of world-class talent that we have booked, with six stages and over 70 artists and DJs performing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! The site is also a logistical resource; use it to purchase tickets, browse maps, obtain information about the venue, get details about the event as they are made available, or to contact us if you have a question. Explore the array of attractions, full-size carnival rides, art installations and performers as information is posted.
