St. Patrick's Day 5k Run on Greenville

It's a 5k run before the parade that starts at 8:30am. I am running with my friend Amanda, and possibly 3 of her other friends. If anyone here runs PM me so we can meet up for the race. Afterwards we are going to watch the parade, then go to the concert they are having out there. I forget who is playing. I think it's "Sector" something.

On an ideal evening for running, Duncan Cragg of Luke's Locker
shattered the Dallas record for fastest men's time in a
Corporate Challenge. Cragg was timed in 17:40. He won by
33 seconds.

Haha I know this guy. He sold me my first real pair of running shoes at Luke's Locker.

I am not very fast, I probably average about 9 min. per mile in a 3 - 3.5 mile run. I have short legs

I want to sign up for this one but I have school. If my teachers are cool with letting me make up some work I'm there. It's for TCCCD and DCCCD so I'm sure they won't mind!!

Running alone for exercise and running in a race are pretty different things.

If you were a competitor in something wouldn't you pay a few bucks to compete in a tournament? It's the same principal. You get to meet people that are into the same thing, you get to compete for cash, and you get to learn how to become better at whatever it is you are doing by watching other competitors.

I could play quake3 by myself, and enjoy it, but playing in a tournament is so much more exciting that it's worth the cost.

That's how I feel about running a 5k fo $20.00. Plus the donations go to the college I attend.
