top 40's cd dj rant -

i am so sick of this. hearing the same shit over and over again. no scratching, no tricks, no vinyl (i will rarely use a cdj for a track or two so i'm not bashing this).

place cd in player. press sync. mix in over one bar. repeat.

how is this any different than a wedding/ bar mitzvah/ high school prom (you get the point) dj? i am sick of hearing brittney spears and lil john.

i realize that this only happens at certain places, but i am annoyed with it none the less.

begin complaints/ arguments now....

but you can scatch a little with house and it will sound good - listen to glaude, bad boy bill, very old dj dan.

I've only seen this on one type of CDJ and it was the "break apart" ones.

I hear ya IV, but the way I see it is if you're stuck with CDJ's learn to atleast rock it ya know. I've seen some people get down on CDJs

my Denon double rack CDJ has it.... (the break apart kind)


it has both a tempo sync and a beat sync...

but i be damned if it never works.

i mean, NEVER works... it TRIES to work...

this top 40 cd crap is huge in chicago right now. so many places have gone to this. it really sucks.
