ooer! I get to flex my DM thinking muscles.. haven't done that in awhile

On-USound Re-remixed by Adrian Sherwood i believe was a vinyl only remix.. if i remember correctly.. i have the German coloured vinyl of it..

The Club 69 is only on promo vinyl as well.. which i have and am very proud despite the fact I don't think it's all that...

AND I'm really glad they included the DJ Shadow remix... ranks as one of my top 10

nope... UK & US promo vinyl only

commercially it can be found on the a 2 cd set called The House Collection with Paul Oakenfold and Mike Cosford... I believe what they have on there is the club 69 remix... I would have to pull my copy and listen to it to doublecheck.

btw.. who do think you are questioning the DM expert, eh?

I'd believe Scottie (RedEyE) would be the resident DM expert... he'd be the one to field any 'unreleased' questions, I'd think.

truer words have NEVER been spoken
VERY true. This is why I adore DM and Goldfrapp.

And I can't believe you added it to your sig. I just wish some people from EGN could have seen that

This morning I thought of yet another place that has the Club 69 remix... The Remixes 86-98 promo CD. You probably have the remix on some burned cd I'm thinking.

More news on the single...

it's going to also feature a remix of...

Mercy in You!!!

a song that is perfection itself, but yet begs to be remixed. And the remix sounds amazing!!! it accentuates the WHISPERS! *falls over*

And another interesting bit of DM trivia I learned is that "Mercy in You" samples both "Hip Hop Hooray" and Madonna's "Erotica"... can anyone hear them?

AND I heard the Rex the Dog remix kindof sucks and that the Goldfrapp remix sounds a bit like a cover since she sings on it!
Tracklisting for the single should be released shortly.

Actually, I have always wanted to have a DM conversation with him after reading about his obsession with them in a Feedback magazine.

I heard that this remix turned out to be better than expected, so I'm not completely writing it off just yet.

Have you heard the tribute cd For the Masses? When I heard the line-up I was pretty skeptical about some of the covers by the bands but then I heard the songs and found most of them to be fantastic.

Yeah, I own this cd & bought it without even hearing it BECAUSE of the bands covering them.

The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Meat Beat Manifesto, Hooverphonic, God Lives Underwater, & Gus Gus did EXCELLENT covers.

My fav' had to be the very dope dnb laced Rabbit in the Moon re-do of "Waiting For The Night".

oh yeah... don't get me wrong. I love all those bands as well. It's just that I have heard far too many really BAD cover tracks (albeit from Sweden, Germany, etc..) and I was a bit wary about ANYONE doing a cover.

Gus Gus's "Monument" is my FAVORITE dM cover ever with Kim Johnsson's "It Doesn't Matter Two" (from the MODEified projects) as a close second.

Imagine that particular song being sung with a velvety female voice and ending with her softly singing "..you grip me with your eyes.." with a robotic voice over it growling and saying things like "truuust..." good stuff I tell ya

the funest cover is Monster Magnet's, heh

As a Depeche freak with over 140 original cds (non cdr) and 150+ vinyl, I can say that other than the new mixes, there are NO rare tracks on this compilation. There are a few vinyl-only cuts, but most of this stuff has been easily available for some time now. The PAP On-USound mix and Flood's mix of AQOL are nice to see, but the rest shouldn't be that exciting to long time fans. Also, there are 3 different Club 69 Mixes of It's No Good available, I assume this is the Future Mix. The others are the Future Dub and Funk Dub.

I'm down!
The topics could be things like name that tune and we'd have to guess the DM song after hearing a small snippet, or remix names and we'd have the name who did the remix, hehee

Bit of trivia here... DM was on Jeopardy. I was actually the one who alerted the DM webmaster about it
See it here: http://archives.depechemode.com/video/tv/jeopardy.html

And.. MysteryMeat I have temporary DM tattoos :P
