Drum Machine: Any thoughts?

I'm in the market again for something new.. But I haven't really kept up with what's hot.. . and what is a total waste of cash.. Any & all help will be greatly appreciated! Thx in advance

I would really recommend using software for drums but if you are stuck on HW get a waldorf attack.

If its anything like the old SP-808 I want to run it over with a train... In fact I would add extra wheels to the train to run it over with.

right now im using a free version of this Fruity Loops program, and i dont know much about what all is out there... what are some better programs that arent too expensive?

Reason would be a logical step. But if you work Fruity Loops right, you can get amazing results. I've heard great tunes made in Fruity Loops.
