All Jungle is, is a more dated and less media-friendly term for the same style of music. The switch in terminology came about not because of a shift in the music's style & content, but because of some producers/djs attempts to distance themselves from the violence becoming associated with Ragga events. DnB/Jungle contains many subgenres, if it were to shift names with the birth of each then DnB itself would be an obsolete term, and we'd have no unifying factor between the Liquid Funk, Techstep, Hardstep, Atmospheric, etc.
As far as I'm concerned it was all Jungle when I discovered it and it's all Jungle now, and it's all good.

drum and base has more drums and base, and jungle is the same, except there are "tribal" and "junglish" sounds thrown in, y'know, something you'd hear in the neighboring tribe if you went on an african safari

first of, drum and BASS is how its spelled.

second of all, DnB IS Jungle. there is no other explanation. Jimmy pretty much nailed it. all i have to add is that Jungle was its original name, then it was given the name Drum and Bass as a more friendly way to market through the media, and to people who hadnt heard of it. the term Drum and Bass is/was a lot more accepted by outsiders than Jungle was.

im kinda sick of people trying to argue a difference. go get the book, "All Crew Muss Big Up" and educate yourself before you make silly statements.
