beatport

I'm not sure how many of you guys are aware of beatport.com, but it's an awesome online store for dance music. I was wondering if anyone else knows of other sites similar to this site. I've found alot of good stuff on here, but I'm looking for tunes more so of what gets played at the Lounge.

Why not just PM the residents and ask them where they shop?

Well, the couple of times that I've been to the Lounge here lately, I've seen Manndogg play only vinyl and that isn't what I'm looking for. I was going to get some decks 2 weeks ago, but some shit came up and I'm not going to be able to get them for another month or so. (hopefully) Until then, I want to build up my collection via digital downloads.

Let me give you a playlist of stuff that I've downloaded from Beatport. This is the type of stuff I'm looking for.

Urban - Reverse Cowgirl (Original Mix)
Bad Boy Bill - Everybody (Original Mix)
Robby Riviera - Confusion Part 1 (Original Mix)
Robby Riviera - Harder & Faster (Original Mix)
DJ Rage - Do You Feel Move (Ultimate Love Edit)

It's more of the thumping kind of house. Not sure of what particular genre it fits, but any help it appreciated.

I already mentioned that I wanted to start my collection with digital downloads. It isn't about me being lazy, I asked for specific websites that carry that type of music, not specific labels/artists. If I wanted vinyl, I know some good places where to get it. Like I said in my previous post though, I won't have turn tables for another month or so, until then I want to get my hands on digital downloads

it sounds like you are in the market for peak hour / funky / bangin house. everyone list it a bit different. but if you are looking for that beatport is the best place to get it for now. heck bad boy bill owns or partly owns beatport, so that should let you know why he has the best selection of that stuff.

honestly you are better off posting this same thing on the beatport forums in the house section. you will surely get directed to tracks that are like the ones you want.

btw - u said you are not getting tables for a month but want to up the digital collection, does that mean you have a CDJ right now or plan to get one?

honestly i would just get a couple of CDJ-1000s if you could afford it. i think its a lot better than investing in vinyl. but i'm sure there are 4,000 djs on this board that would argue against that.
