REASON Help?

I have some tracks laid out in Reason, but i haven't figured out how to use the track window at the bottom. Does it work like Acid in the sense that i can lay out my drums, then synth, sampler, etc... If so, how do i assign it to play from the layout and to not just play the loop? Any help would be appreciated?

RIGHT CLICK ON DA DRUM MACHINE & HIT 'COPY PATTERN TO TRACK..'. THIS TAKES THE PATTERN & TRANSLATEZ IT TO DA BOTTEM OF DA PAGE. AFTER DAT U CAN SEQUENCE IT BELOW.

yeah, I'm not a big fan of the drum pattern sequencer... it's too hard to manipulate...

I'd just enter each note in manually, or do what tha rave slave *smirk* said.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for your help, I knew that it had to work as a sequencer but wasn't getting very far in that respect.

Thanks again,

the reason sequencer is my favorite software sequencer - give the "sequencer" section in the PDF manual a read (its under Start->Programs->Propellerheads->Reason)Its a short read and explains things well.

I'm currently fighting with cubase. If only Reason could sequence external synths!

I think ReWire 2.0 will allow Cubase to be run as a slave to Reason.

i want to use REASON's sequencer, not cubases. i like reason's sequencer. is rewire 2.0 a separate component from reason, or is it integral to reason 2.0?

its not a huge deal anyway. i got a cubase book, so its just a matter of time till i get my head around it.
