thriller goes pretty good with some house music... was over at a friends the other day and threw it in while playing his house stuff.

As long as you know what it is, that is what should matter. We both appreciate Eddie Grant, but I bet I would classify him as early electro (due to the instruments used in "Electric Avenue") and the Bar-Kays as classic funk. As long as we both know who the artist is, that is what matters.

man, if we quit listening to music where the artist got into some moral/legal dilema...we'd lose alot of choons

I didn't quit listening to James Brown cause he went to prison, Marvin Gay cause he was a rock star, Pete Townsend cause they said he had kiddie porn, Vanilla Ice cause he was a white boy from carrollton and not Compton, Kid Rock for banging Pamela Lee...and so on
