| So I was @ Edge Club last night....
....so yeah, I wanna give some mad props out to the Dallas producing massive. Just very, very quickly off the top of my head, the people who's tracks I came across / heard last night that I'd like to give props to in particular: Vector Burn, Phooka, (I think) Katalyst, and Kid Icarus' newest track. There's one more I'd LIKE to mention, but I'm not sure yet if I'm allowed....I gotta clear it first. It's not someone on the board, but its someone most everyone knows, and I got maaaad respect for him, and he got some good news recently that I can't *wait* to share! But I digress. Props to all of you out there making your own. There's some sick talent in this city, and I know many of you will soon be at the forefront of bringing Dallas into light on the world's stage. Peace; - Thomas |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There is a lot happening in this town...
BUT it's not TALKED ABOUT enough... there is no sort of "advertising" for what Dallas artists are doing. Someone needs to put together a news letter of sorts to highlight these artists on a regular basis. To show Dallas and the WORLD what we are doing in our town! *Note: Trent came up with that idea... not me.* Oh... and I am also proud to say that if all goes according to plans.... Eric Hanson will be rocking the Edge Club on May 11th!

![]() | Bunny is sooo right!
There does need to be a more international awareness about what our local producers are doing. Maybe we can brainstorm some ideas and get something going. Oh, and the title of the MacIX vs. the Carbon Community track was "Broad in the Beam" that played on Edge Club last night around 11:00. I forgot to write it on the accetate so Merritt didn't know the title. whoops. ![]() I didn't get to check out Jeremy's track was it pretty dope? WHat style was it? ---Cody |

Tha Disco Agents are releasing their Dallas Producer compilations soon, and as far as I know, this will be a regular thing...? Am I right? Anyway, these comps will probably be the best form of dallas promotion we have seen, considering the music will be able to reach people who love the music but don't buy vinyl or don't get a chance to be in environments where massive discussion of dallas producing is involved... |

We've put out some releases under our label Subtle Distotion Records 1 vinyl release EP called Gelfling's Wonderland EP as well as 2 LPs on cd. most of our cds sell in the Middle East, India, Asia and parts of Europe as well. There are lots of other producers here in the area putting out releases. I know that Bernhard Pucher aka Brian Anurysm put out a techno record here recently. I heard The Mind Theory just got signed to a label also. Dj love has put out quite a few releases on his label Stellar Music, NRA records based out of Ft Worth here has put a few break records out also with some major US distributors. Demarcus Lewis is doing well with his house releases also. The DFW area has a lot of producers worth mentioning, Astrolabe, Mist, Earth Orbit, Disco Agents, Eric Entity, Starfire, Kynd...the list goes on and on. |
