Help! Sound Forge Sound problem....

Ok guys, for any of you all the use SoundForge..i recorded a great mix the other day, however it came out sounding really muffled..this have never happened before. Now, i have it all hooked up like I have had in the past to my computer, which has recorded mixes sound just fine. My question is, since this is a really good mix and i dont want to redo it, is it possible to tweak it out somehow to make it sound more nicer and less muffled? If anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated!

Why is it muffled? Were your levels too high? If so, then there's not much you can do about it.

you can use the plug in chain and probably help it out quite a bit, but if its bad its bad, youre not gonna perform miracles

Ya its cool..actually the levels are fine, however it just sounds "muffled". Thats the only way i can describe it. I have never really had this problem before. Kinda weird. I'll try a few of the things you all mentioned...if anyone else knows some stuff let me know.

you know what... I had this exact same thing happen with mine now that I think about it. I basically unplugged everything from my mixer to the computer, switched cables, and it worked. I dunno if it was a bad cable, a bad connection, or just a fluke.
