A friend is always telling me about this guy. Anyone have any sets they can post, or can give a little info. His site seems pretty cool.

"Vasquez had made his name at the Sound Factory, but when the venue closed for refurbishment and re–opened as Twilo, Vasquez moved to The Tunnel and Tenaglia was installed at Twilo. Up until this point the two DJs had been good friends, but in 1996, having finished for the night at Twilo, Tenaglia went down to The Tunnel to unwind. Vasquez saw Danny on the dancefloor and had him unceremoniously removed from the premises by security. It took a year and a half for the two to resolve the incident, but no sooner had they apparently done so than Twilo sacked Tenaglia, allegedly without warning, and replaced him with Vasquez. Tenaglia was incensed at what he saw as Vasquez going behind his back and used several subsequent interviews to make his feelings on the subject clear. Since then, Tenaglia has resided at The Tunnel, Limelight and Life, before finding his current home, monthly Fridays at Vinyl." Vasquez = New York Tribal House Ask Apolesse how he feels about Ms. Vasquez.

a few years late on jv. not worth seeing now a days. his live sets consist of shit and some more shit. he was the best at one point though. the man is pushing 60 years old and he's lost a few steps. there is a live recording from soundfactory in 1995 that is a must have. dont even bother listening to anything new. i'll see if i can dig it up for you.

Search for the old stuff he did with Tribal America and Tribal UK Records. The days of Sound Factory were his glory days. Basically, for all "Professional DJs", the 90's were the glory days. Those were the days of true residencies where mass amounts of people would go listen to their favorite local DJ every week, and club owners understood the importance of a truely professional DJ that knew how to control a crowd.

his 1997 essential mix is another good one to search out. 3 hours live from the ministry of sound. this best reprezents his time @ twilo - imo.
