| Rock Star INXS & We Will Rock You
so i'm watching Rock Star INXS... and the singers they have on there aren't half bad, definitely puts American Idol to shame ten times over and I notice one of the guys on the show, the black guy with the mohawk played one of the characters in the play based on Queen's music "We Will Rock You" that I saw in Vegas... he played Britney Spears (you gotta see the show to understand) and my dad said that one of the other characters, I think Will but I'm not sure.. played Galileo Figaro in the London production of "We Will Rock You" just some useless trivia... but the mohawk guy is pretty damn good, he killed in WWRY |

I think it has to be one of the dumbest concepts EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. INXS just won't be right without MH - this isn't fucking Van Halen. |

Yeah some of them have some singing talent - no doubt about that. I just hate comparing an American Idol theme with INXS. |

i dont really think of them as INXS anymore... once Michael died, INXS pretty much died with it even if they find a singer out of this show... and i can see maybe 1 or 2 that could front the band properly... they will have to spend quite a bit of time living this down in order to be seen as a good band again |

Yes. there are some talented singers on there... but this sums up my overall feelings for the show quite nicely: Quote:
"Rockstar - with some old band members who don't know what to do with themselves except plan retirement" When I think of the word 'sellouts', this show applies quite well. The 'Princes of Malibu' show is right up there with it. Shame on you, David Foster. Shame on you, INXS. | |

The talent that INXS is auditioning is pretty good - plus - the idea of the show is a tremedously smart one - who really gave a shit about INXS anymore? If people are going to care again - this is a good way to get pub and develop support and.... what ever happened to the idea of Terrence Trent D'Arby fronting for them? and for that matter what ever happened with Weiland fronting the Doors? |

I'm diggin the show myself, and I HATE reality TV. I'm impressed with the participants talent, attitude, and style. And as previously mentioned, its a marketing masterpiece! - jv -
