u can use soundforge.. i use this and it works good..... when I d/l live sets from different djs, i just break the set up into like 5 min wave files usually giving me 12 or 13 tracks or so.. i burn them all on to the cd..in that order ofcourse..BAM.. there it is. hehe..

KEEP IN MIND!!!

You can modify the .mp3 or.wav file in Sound Forge and save the tracks as different files, but you'll have to do a special write command before you will have a seemless transition between tracks.

Make sure your burner is set to "Write Disc at Once" or "Disc at Once." What that does is eliminates the couple of seconds pause between tracks. It compresses the tracks right next to each other on the CD, so all you hear is a smooth mix.

Wouldn't you hate to cut up a fat mix, and then find out that there is a 2 second break in between every track?.... that would suck.

There are lots of programs to do this, check around download.com or hitsquad.com (all music oriented) for wav slicers or mp3 slicers. Then you can just do burn-at-once copies on to CD to make the mix seemless again.

I've always used mp3splitter.com. It works well if you break it up into 5 min. trax or even 4. But 3 min. tracks have that break, that's annoying. You can also break it up however you want, which can be a bit tedious but a pretty cool feature. I would break it up like that for my mixes. For downloaded mixes i would just do it by time. hope i could help
