i've always dug em, i just get tired of hearing it. although here lately ive been listening to them alot more. i guess because i've been playing guitar more though.

i never got into Journey at all (shame on John for liking them)... but Metallica is great, like most people have already said, especially the older stuff

i can see why some younger ppl might not like them... but if you put up a Linkin Park type band next to Metallica, it's not a fucking contest... Metallica and most old school rock and metal bands beat the shit out of the crap they put out these days easily...

Linkin Park, Syndrome of a Down, all of these new Rock bands eat a shit dick. And they all sound EXACTLY the same. That whiney emo nasal vocalist crap is for fagets. It's so tough for me to find Rock bands I like because all of the vocalists now a days sound like pissed off teens who aren't allowed to smoke in their parent's houses.

i was with you until the system of a down comment. i base most of my opinions on bands on their live performance. and system of a down puts on one HELL of a show as does linkin park. i walked away with a better opinion of both bands after seeing them live.

surprisingly, the jay-z shit with linkin park is phenomenal.

but metallica is greater than all during their heyday. but that ship has sailed unfortunately.

dont get me wrong, i dont like LP or SOAD enough to go buy their music. it's just become tolerable when i hear it on sirius.

wasn't Mandatory Metallica something they used to do on the Edge? or some other radio station...
