i'm trying to install an m-audio delta 66 on my girlfriend's new pc and as i run on mac i'm having a frustrating issue:

the card seems to be working fine, sound is going through it but i can't control the volume through the m-audio mixer panel. i.e., the level shows up on the wavout 1/2 but the sliders don't affect it and there is no output showing through the master volume. arg!

any thoughts?

have you set the sound card preferences to M-audio....not the internal.

I dunno....I have mac.

yeah i've done everything i can think of as a mac user trying to navigate xp. control panel settings, checking conflict in device manager.

this is normal. mine does the same. (Delta 1010LT) whatever DAE / DAW you use will be able to control the levels just fine though.

you do have them all stereo linked dont you? and the h/w out 1/2 is patched/routed through the monitor mixer (patchbay/router tab on the m-audio control panel)?

yeah, i'm a dope. after tearing my hair out over this, i find out that when i point reason/cubase etc to it, it works.
