Studio Time

As far as producing goes; what's your technique? Do you add a little bit each day? My plan is to lock myself in the house for a couple of weeks/months and do it all at once, just work and produce for awhile. Add some friends and beer; i say i'll come out with someone decent in a few months. Thoughts?

I knew some guys that quit their jobs and took out loans to live on for a solid year. Locked up in the studio and they came out badasses.

i personally only write when i am inspired to do so. no set time frame. it can take me anywhere from a week to three months to finish one track... my advice - do not force it. just go with the flow, write when and how you feel without trying to shove anything to fit. just let it evolve how it comes out.

i've known artists who lock themselves up to crank out an album, and it all sounds like the same track. better to be diverse, and write when you feel inspired to do so, than recycling the same ideas on a subconscious level....

I wouldn't go that far i've always kept music as a side venture, but that's pretty much what i plan to do. gimme a sec and i'll post up a diagram of how i'ma set everything up.
