Has anyone ever used these DJ speakers?

I've always been a huge fan of MTX Car Audio & wondered how well these work. It seems like you get a lot of bang for your buck if you're just doing mobile DJing at small parties.

I don't know if I'd trust buying a dj monitor for that cheap.

MTX is a well known brand in car & home audio with a good reputation for building rock solid speakers at an affordable price.

Correction, MTX "USED" to make DESCENT equipment when the old engineers from Pheonix Gold and Fosgate came over to design MTX's product in the mid 90's. These days, I'd suggest staying away from all MTX and Rockford Fosgate products, whether it be their car stereo line or newer "home stereo & dj equipment." They're all very cheaply made, and have very high refurb rates (meaning a high % of their product was sent in to be refurbished)

Just a little FYI

shit i love MTX. duno about their home or PA line (didnt even know they had one) but im sure its just like their car audio... As far as using that for your actual PA??? dont think so bro... Probobly RMS at about 100watts?? dun even know about the sound... However, if they sound decent, they would be nifty little monitors...

It says 150 watts RMS a piece, but I'm sure they could handle a little more than that with good clean power, proper sized cables & what not & a sensitivity rating of 92 db these babies will get loud QUICK with even only 100 watts RMS being fed to them.

Its a fact that most of the time speakers blow from being under powered rather than over powered. If you under power a speaker & push it too hard it will clip & ultimately fail.

Also, these would sound like ass if you were to use them as home audio monitors they're not meant for that like the few people that rated them poorly seem to have thought when they bought them.

I love the sound of these speakers, perfect for REALLY LOUD, club like monitors. not for apartments or close-together houses.
