my new track "StormBreaker" - give it a listen

yo sup peeps,
this is a new track that i have bee working on... i used ableton live , rapture, vapor and a m-audio axiom 25. this is a nu skool break. the sound quality is kinda bad but i blame it on acidplanet.com... it is only 3/4 the way finished but yall get the idea.. thanks for the listen...

i think this track has a lot of potential. i think it would be a lot more accessible in the long run if you took out the glitch voice effect altogether, it just sounds too 1998 in my opinion. also, when the synthesizer comes in it sounds really nice, it would sound great to incorporate this into the rest of the song with the beat. nice production

thanks bro... ur right.... i still have alot of work left but this is my 1st track... i am going to go back and layer synths through the entire song... i was going for a kinda nu skool kinda funky theme....

well, its just my input, some people like that sound, but i have listened to...well ....baby anne is the first person to come to my mind. her 'im about to break' cd, whenever i hear that, it has some really good beats, but then the hibbity hobbity sounds come in and it just sounds like wasted beats to me. but theres people out there who love that cd and other nu skool stuff that uses that style, so its all relative to opinion. the funky theme is cool, the funk will remain within the melody without the glitch if you decide to take it out, never underestimate the funk.

cool synth work, gives it a really nice vibe, man. still think the voice could at the least be toned down a bit with the amount of its use....it just seems to overpower the track. also an intro to bring all the instruments in would justify things too. check out a clip from one of my tracks if u want, i would appreciate the feedback. the levels are off...lots of work to be done still. click

sweet track... i really like the synth and the piano and i think it was on organ.... flow very well...

To preface my thoughts on this track, just wanna say that this is step-up up over some work you showed me via internet summer 05'.

As said before that glitch voice is rather repettitive... you may not need to take it out completely but i would find someway to make it more subtle.

The track is sounding rather late 90's Ravish breaks... You could soften the kick a lil bit and take down some of the high end percussions.

I would watch your volumes on your mixing... I feel like your forcing me to listen to every aspect of signal you have dumped into this track. Sit down infront of your board and play with different variations of volume and panning... sure thats in your mixdown portion but a bit now will help in the long run.

After you tone down some of that higher frequency percussion maybe throw in some ambeint loops for depth... you could just use a plugin to create this but it would be more fun recording yourself pouring a glass of milk or walking your dog.

Overall good structure mayne, keep it up.

yeah man i made 1 or 2 tracks on acid last year... but i moved up !!!! i am only using ableton line 5.0, rapture and a m-audio axiom 25... i am still working on getting more vst's and other shit to perfect my sound... but thats for the options will mos def keep them in mind when i start to finish
