Need a STURDY table for tables, mixer, & CD players

I checked on Djdeals.com & they have some specially made to fit everything, but they want like $500...screw that!

Dude I just bought a six foot table for $45 at Loews. It's a banquet table.

I have two 1200's in cases, mixer, cdj, still have room behind the tables for other stuff. It's sturdy and light.

i can build you a custom dj stand for about $250. have built several for close
friends. would be made out of wood and be able to support whatever you
need it for. pm if intrested

go to home depot ,just buy cinder blocks and some laminated particle board they will even cut the board to what ever size you want. its super sturdy and about $20 to $30 bucks depending on how big you want and how many ever shevles you plan on making! and depending on how long and how big you make your sections it makes a killer setup for records and your decks and mixer on top!

Honestly past few posts are correct...cinder blocks would work the best. Ever notice the DMC championships they are usually not using dj booths, but rather wood on cinder blocks. IMO and experience that is the sturdiest you can get...the cinder blocks absorb sound pretty well also.

I'm going for style as well as function, so cylinder blocks and wood are a no go.

Slum has peaked my interest so far. I wish you had pix of your actual work though man...

I'll agree with that totally...thing is though that he said something sturdy not that some dj booths are not, but I was more thinking he was talking about the sturdiest material to put equipment on period.

Seriously though, I more than likely will be hitting you up in the summer to build me one these. Is it like the one (i think) i remember that you and Joel had in that house you lived in by the slip inn?

my brother and I built this stand...i threw those cheap ass roland speakers down the hallway one day...have a jbl eon now purchase through Gomer on this board...still works great. Just need to know someone w/the right tools to build something. It probably cost $150.
