![]() | synthcart, atari modification & treewave
Has anyone worked with this kinda stuff? I love treewave cause its analog meets today, ataris, C64, reprogrammed dot matrix printers. the guy behind the band, Paul Slocum programmed two of the newest Atari 2600 releases. Each keyboard controller controls one of the two oscillators in the Atari 2600. My fav is the Synthcart where anyone can buy at new cartridge & make new music with old game technology. During performances, Tree Wave's Atari and C64 code outputs programmed visuals that are synchronized to the music. Video output from the Atari is displayed on a video projector, and the Commodore's video is shown on a television. The printer is also used live and prints patterns while playing rhythmic and melodic parts of the songs. ![]() ![]() i found treewave’s cabana l.p. >here< i like it, even if they don't say it is electronic music, it seems undeniably so to me.

I really dig a lot of the stuff going on in the chiptune and the diy/circuit bending community. I was, at one time, really considering buying an Atari and soldering the 1/4 inch audio outs and buying Synthcart from Paul. There is an auction or two on Ebay for the full setup. Have you listened to any of the stuff written with Nanoloop or lsdj (little sound dj) for the Gameboy (you can link two together)? http://www.myspace.com/bitshifter http://www.myspace.com/8bitoperators |

This band also uses the synthcart live and on recordings, listen to the track Ego Head for a good exemple. www.myspace.com/thecougarettes |
