If you use Torq on a Mac don't upgrade your OS

10.4.9 isn't working with logic and torq for some reason. I'm trying to figure out how the hell to get Torq back up and running again.

Ah, the only drawback of a Mac, Operating systems hate being backwards compatible with programs.

We're stuck with Protools 6.4 because we can't upgrade our Mac past 10.3.9

And that limits us on other audio software too.

They should be coming out with a full Binary version that will solve the problem, as well as Logic 8 should be in the works as well.

I'll be at the MusikMesse here in Frankfurt on Friday the 30th, I'll stop by the M-audio Booth and pic their brain. As well as the Logic Pro guys.

Keith, are you using Torq in a live setting? I've read a ton of mixed reviews on the product and now I'm steering further and further away from it.

I am. I haven't really encountered major problems with it up until now.

I've heard rumors that Logic is going to be seriously revamped and may, in fact, not even be called "Logic" past the current version.

Yes torq does not working on the latest upgrade

Please take note of the fact that the Conectiv (as well as Torq itself) is not yet qualified for use with Apple's recently-released OS 10.4.9. Mac users who wish to use the Conectiv with their system are advised to postpone updating to 10.4.9 until the Conectiv driver is officially qualified for this new version of OS X.

Unfortunately If ur running a intel mac its not gonna work yet, some have theirs working but i theirs are not intel ones. So if u dont have an intel u shouldnt have a problem.

ProTools isnt working as well.

I am please do announce that we now have a new (Beta) version of Torq 1.02 available for download. This version is for Intel Mac users on 10.4.9 ONLY, and is provided as a Beta release.

Torq 1.02-06 is available as a Software Update on our Drivers/Updates page.

Users should completely uninstall any previous versions of Torq before installing 1.02-06.

We recommend that all Torq users on OS X 10.4.8 who have NOT yet updated to 10.4.9, remain on 10.4.8 until we are able to offer an officially-qualified non-beta release for OS X 10.4.9.

So if u got a intel mac with the 10.4.9 update, get it now

Yeh its running fine for me now I think. Was getting some weird signal loss for a bit.

Regarding ProTools not working, if you are using version 7.X, you have to download the Combo Upgrade from apple.com. Using the software updater built into OSX does not work with ProTools. I had the same problem with version 7.1. Low and behold that fixed the problem. It's all over the Digidesign support forums.

You may want to try the same for Torq.
