| Korg Kontrol49 VS. Akai MPK49
I've been with an Axiom 49 for a while now and I love it. For some reason I am itching to get something new though. Plus my friend wants to buy my axiom. I am looking at these two. Which one would u go with and why.

the micron kicks ass thank you! I am seeing the Akai for 399 online. The akai is fairly new. The Korg has been around a while and you can get used ones for 2-300, they are also new for 399 online. I am going by guitar center tonight to see what they can do.

just orderd the akai last night at GC. Pretty stoked cause its new to the market and It has the same rotarys and faders as the MPD.. then its got MPC style pads so should be a great controller! They had the korg there and I was very unimpressed with the small pitch and mod wheels as well as the feel of the pads.

i have the kontrol 49. Its nice. I have never played around with the akai so i dont know what the build quality is.. i'd recommend playing around with them before you buy. The korg is very well built. nice key action etc. The akai does have an arpeggiator though.. so if its a nicely built keyboard then i'd go for that. |
