I guess when music speeds along at 145 bpm+ you can fit 30 tracks in an hour mix. Looking forward to hearing it.

Yo, you can fit 30+ cuts on a mix at 90bpm, it's all a matter of the will to do it.

Look for my upcoming dubstep mix, 33 records, less than an hour, right around 80-90bpm. BPM's got nothing to do with it. :-)

Truedat. If you can make a cohesive, flowing mix like that... cool. Problem is it becomes challenging to establish a groove and it can end up feeling rushed. Well that is the nature of drum & bass but other genres, not so much.
D&B is a genre that I don't know much about. I'm just getting into it. I visited your myspace and I'm excited to check out some of the older mixes.

U mean 70. Most dubstep records are at 140 bpm, halftime at 70 bpm homie

Word. Just started playing dubstep myself, still getting the hang of mixing it, completely different style than dnb, even if it is a 'subgenre.'

I've been known to play a little trance from time to time as well, my experience with that is that it's hard to get past 22 records or so in an hour. BUT, if you listen to certain respectable house djs (house being around the same bmp as trance) you'd know that you can pretty easily get up to 30-35 records in an hour, if the music will support it, no matter the bpm. It's a matter of production style more than speed. :-)

Dubstep is NOT a subgenre of Dn'B. Don't make me kill myself.
