Well Serato's fun and all. I bypass CDJ's and shit. Not my thing. But I just love being able to put a solid set together with rekkids anytime. I just think it's fun and there's more of an human element to the set.

question - cdjs don't have as much as a human element as serato?

yes, serato is vinyl, but it runs through your laptop, and into a little box before going to the mixer. i dont really think that you're gaining a huge human element here.

the whole vinyl vs. digital debate is retarded honestly, as people who play digitally (and using serato, you do) really just win in the situation. that said though, serato is like the bisexuality of the dj world.

Actually, it does have a decent one. Monthly events. Nothing weekly that's strictly breaks. A cat named Local Hero runs one that's great in the Bucktown section of town. The best breaks guy in Chi-town is Tolgar, hands down. We use to do tag sets together. Also Chad North's another guy who's killin' it up there.
