Thanks for the advice about Greenville Roos. only thing is, arent all those bars/clubs 21+? I guess that goes back to just getting there before they open right? since i wouldnt know because im not of age (lol) when does everything down there generally open?

Most are 21+. But go down there between 6 and 9 or so, and a lot of them are open. Check the bars, not just the clubs.

agreed with darren and zymote... making a demo on abelton gives only credibility that your good at covering your set up after you completed it. Zymote, once i get mine i will make sure to send you one. Some nice people on here offered to let me come down to their house and record it there.

wow i really enjoyed that summer mix... and i dont even like deep house. mixing is great as well. i have to say i can mix pretty damn well with that down tempo stuff but when you start getting deep basslines and strange breaks in some of the electro and break stuff i listen to, i have trouble with transitions w/o waiting for the breakdown at the end of the song...

i wouldn't really call the stuff "Deep house" per sa, but thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

Seems to take way to long tweakin up a p.p. mix vs recording it live , one shot one take.


Usally the only p.p. I do is for sound quality, sound levels, 48k<+ ->, so it will transfer well to some one car stereo , I pod, or computer/ home speakers.

the best way to get gigs in this city is to go out and meet people, however being under 21 kinda hurts that. people need remember who you are and the more they see you the more they are willing to hire you. how good you are doesnt matter, in the lounge/mash up scene whatever, almost all the dudes that gig 4-5 nights a week straight up suck, minus a handful. i have heard so many trainwrecks, its amazed me, but they know how to network and that is what it takes, not just in dallas but anywhere.
