Pretty neat, however i think technology will eventually ruin djing and what it stands for in the near future.

yeah i could see that, but you still either have an ear for mixing or you don't. unless the mixers start automatically adjusting levels appropriately at the right time and picking out which tracks sound good together and are suited for specific situations.

I disagree.

Technology will change things, but I can't imagine it ruining anything.

There will be no more ruin in the marriage of technology with DJing than there was ruin in the introduction of the word processor to writing,
to the introduction of the electronic spreadsheet to accounting,
to the introduction of the sampler to electronic music production.

Technology simply makes the nitty gritty easier so that the really talented minds can concentrate their attention on doing bigger and better, entirely different, amazing things.

Sure.. There will ALWAYS be something particularly beautiful in those that can do the art form "old school" style, just like the awe of a photographer that still only works in film, or a producer that only works in analog...

But there's no reason to discount newer developments in the art form.

Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, but the other is gold.

Nah. It's already reverting back to where it use to be. While there are a lot of digital DJ's, Vinyl sales are starting to increase again worldwide. People are already starting to revert to back to turntables. There will always be purists.
