What DJ furniture do you have?

I need some ideas on what to store my records with. I've had the crate thing going on for ten years almost now and it sucks. I'd like something that looks good and works well. Any suggestions?

furniture like this would be nice:

for the price, it's great. but it is cheap ikea shit... but it works just fine to nicely hold some records. the only thing nicer would be stained (real) wood that would cost a pretty penny.

Records are heavy.
How many records do you store with yours? I need something that wont break and kill people.

Given that all the records on the shelf were 180 grams you could put about 80 per shelf. I'm assuming it's 29lb per square. It would hold a good size collection.

I guess this falls more into the category of stands/desks but I like this guys idea. Takes a little work, but it's cheaper than most pre-built stands.

These setups are pretty slick too

I have the ikea shelves mentioned above. I have 2 5x5's, 2 4x4's, and a 2x4. Got them bitches maxed out with wax and no signs of sagging, for ikea shit they are well made (can't say that about the rest of their shit...) and you really can't beat the cost on them compared to other places selling "dj furniture".

I think I'm going to head up there and look around this weekend. I'd love to make a setup that combines the two setups I posted pics of.

I only have a little over half of it filled and it hold great. I was a little iffy about maxing it, but maybe I will since soulero said his is holding up.

I would watch craigs list for give aways. I actually saw an ad the other day that would have been perfect DJ tables but the ad is gone now. If you have to buy something look at office resale furnature. Its usually big, heavy, and nice looking. You want something heavy so the table doesn't vibrate.

That looks like Jeremy's set up but the turn tables and mixer are not built in and there is no computer.

I actually am getting ready to launch a small side business building DJ furniture. I can possibly build you something if you are interested.

It would prove very difficult to ever leave home, or even the living room with a setup like that.
