I really wouldn't consider myself "ahead" of anyone musicaly though. Especially back home in the DFdub. I've always tried to be true to my own musical tastes and not go with the trends. I just love digging through mountains of music to find those one or two new artists or labels that rock my world.

I'd have to say i really started digging the deep, organic, techy sounds about a year to 2 years ago. Thanks to the influence of those like A-Dub, Brett J., Ernie PM, Eric S., JV and quite a few more. It's weird though. Alot of this stuff reminds me of what I was playing over 10 years ago. Labels like Guidance, Paper Recordings, DIY etc.

Btw, when can I look forward to playing at your church again?! Haha, that really was fun for me. Thanks again.

DJ events up here are few and far between unfortunately. The Clair Brothers sound system in the room you played is amazing. Next time we do a fashion show charity event I'll book you and me to do a tag team set, deal? Breaks and house... should get the models movin eh?

Think you hit it dead on with your comment about deep tech musical progression. IMO the UK labels and few US like Guidance had a more futuristic feel that pushed the "House" envelope a little deeper and edgy in the mid to late 90's / early 00's. Then the German's kinda took the lead in developing the sound with labels like Poker Flat, Dessous, 2020 Vision. I can find tons of tracks released during that time frame that are still hella relevant.

Yah, that is probably one of the biggest systems i've ever played on. It's a shame we couldn't really open her up that night. I am definitely down for a tag team bro!

Well put sir. I've been digging through my old crates to see if I can find any stuff that will work with my current selections. I found and old KOT release on Blackwiz from 94 that sounds like it could have been released last week.

I didn't realize 2020 Vision was a German label. That was definitely one of my favorites back in the day. That's Ralph Lawson's label right?

It can easily push 105 DB. 120, if I yank the limiters and comps...
