I checked out that track on beatport...sounds like old Sneak or something like that - a jazzy riff with the filter fx...I guess things are headed back in that direction.....everything old is new again....

My vote is for the crazy frog song. Not only is it horrible and is derived from Beverly Cop's (Axel Follies theme, why??? whaz that dope in the first place?) but somehow its connected to this animation that was in the video (they needed a video for that track?) but that damn frog is now being merchandised everyway imaginable. This kid who's window was just across from mine used to wake up with that track every morning before school. lol. |

y'know. i really hate starting a thread that has nothing to do with genres or preffered dj technology and SOMEHOW it always ends up with an arguement about one of the two. For the last time....it doesnt fucking matter how you play it, and it doesnt fucking matter what genre you're into. All of EDM "community" is in the same leaky ass dingy right now and we should all be helping to cork the holes and bail out the water instead of shooting more holes into the bottom of the boat. Get over it! No ones genre is better than anyone elses and we all need to be working together, not trying to dis each other or dis genres!!!!!! Except for trance coz that shits just plain stupid. And now back to more discussion of how DJ's and EDM have done some dumb shit. Get along or get out!

I'd have to say that celebrity DJ's as a whole run the shark tank. Has there ever been one that was actually good?

Richie Hawtin allows Dubfire to remix Spastik and plays it our himself. Yep, that "rework" is a piece of shit.

there was also that time period of minimal techno when i couldnt find anything that didnt have that plastikman machine gun tom going through it ala Spastik/Helicopter. There really only needed to be one track that did that....the original. Copycats...gotta love em! I mean really...how could someone think that their machine gun tom pattern is better than another one?!?!?
