![]() | Old Skool (acid house, acid breaks)
Someone mentioned orbital having an old skool sound, and that reminded me how much I used to love acid house and acid breaks. Anyone know where I could get some good mp3 DJ mixes of this stuff? "...... GO! (yeah eah eah)" |

Holy crap! I remember 2badMice - Bombscare Teehehehe. Those were the days yo! I recognize a lot of those names off of that track listing: Joey Beltram, Pragha Kahn, NOW, Leftfield. I have a good oldies comp from '93. It was one of my first dance music cd's. It's on sm le and it's titled "Best of Techno 3"It's a lot of old school breaks, with a few trancier house numbers on it. I'm not sure if it's a little too mainstream for your tastes, but here goes. track listing N.R.G. - I Need Your Love Joey Beltram - Get Into Life Acen - Trip ll The Moon Psychotropic - Hypnosis Eden Transmission - I'm So High Smart E's - Sesame's Treat Nighttripper - Tone Exploitation (I sooo want this record, it still rocks) First Project - Right Before FX Creators - And You Will Enjoy Project One - Roughneck Acen - Just Close Your Eyes Digital Bass - Bass Explosion Enjoy. For the record, I hate Sesame's Treet. The page is still down, but the most bad ass collection of old skool tracks can be found at: http://www.bassquake.co.uk Funny somebody should mention 2 Bad Mice - Bombscare. It was house that opened the door for me to electronic music, but it was this track that got me full swinging into it. I have a few comps and mixes from "back in the day" if somebody wants to trade copies.
