i wouldnt doubt it if he was.

my predictions for dubstep:
enjoy it while you can. The american hip hop market is going to take it and make it terrible for mass consumption...the same way they did to, well....hip hop. I predict they will keep the bass and wobble, but leave the actual dub aspect of it behind and take the "worldliness" out of it. Thus, making it sterile. They probobly will not expand on it at all and will bring nothing new to the table. Cant wait.

that tune is old news. its eastern jam with snoop rhyming over it. not a mashup but he actually went to a studio to record that shite.... the levels on the vocals sound like he had the mic half way in his mouth . wtf were they thinking .even if the levels were better that tune would still suck ass..

at least this 12th planet x ras kass isnt too shabby

i dont think us hip hop will directly copy it, but definitely go for the bass line.

if you guys dont remember, hip hop has done more for bass and 70 bpm tracks than any other genre out there.

and like tom said, the snoop track is old news and i dont think its very good.

yeah the majority of that album left me really unimpressed. i was surprised at how many of those artists failed at their attempt.

i dunno man..once Lil Wayne does it they all copy. Im primarily thinking about the dirty south guys. Its bound to happen..theres so amy tracks with DS acapellas on top of them already....and that gets old super quick. I stand by my predictions. I see a lot of unnerving uninspired "productions" coming. It would be awesome if i was wrong, but i dont think i will be.

Timbaland - Apologize (feat. One Republic) was a good track and I do consider it to be one of the first pop dubstep tracks.

The difference to me is, in the UK they made it pop friendly in a way they cant do it in America. The uk style isnt "macho" enough for Americans, it would be too much like house music for Americans to swallow. So it'll go the tough guy wanna be thug route. Jiggaboos with grills and handfulls of cash will be the purveyours of this next musical tragedy. But im pretty sure their gonna get rid of the harshness and everything that might turn off joe America in Iowa.

well, bass has always been connected to rap specifically. thats really one of the things that drew me to it. I used to listen to 'hello brooklyn' over and over even though it was about a minute and a half long.

thats what i was saying about Lil' Wayne...he did it and was successful...so now the imitators will follow that arent as talented. I might just be biased in my opinions though. I 've lost about 99% of my faith in the American music/radio scene. I just believe everything they touch they destroy. I have absolutely no faith that they will do the right thing at all. Unfortunately history is on my side with that one.

that track didnt really blow up for wayne. it was dope though.

i would be more worried by will i am than anyone. he really knows how to copy good styles and loves to blatantly sample anything out there.
